Construction management involves any process that intrudes upon a tree's superstructure or root system. Intrusions might involve covering portions of the root system with concrete, pavers, or even sod. Of course trenching through the root system can be just as deadly, and result in a poorly anchored tree that can fail without warning, crushing homes, cars, or people.
AS has developed quite effective methods, strategies, and materials to prevent or mediate construction damage. Don't trust the guy with the trencher or the concrete forms to understand the impact of his work near your tree! They aren't the ones one that our clients call a year, or ten years, later when their tree suddenly looks sick. We find serious problems in trees decades after construction.
